In 2019, the St. John River Society received a grant from the Canadian Community Building fund of nearly a million dollars to repair and restore 13 heritage riverboat wharves on the Lower St. John River. It took us several years and the dedication of our volunteer members working with competent local contractors to accomplish this. We undertook this work because access to the river was being limited to those who own property along its shore. By repairing these wharves, the St. John River Society is pleased to offer access to all.
In order to maintain these wharves going forward, we will need your continued support for landscaping, maintenance and facilities on these wharves. A contribution to this end is welcome.
Less then one cup of coffee per month
A bit more then a tank of gas
Hardly enough to buy groceries
